Cooking Therapy and Cooking Classes

Cooking Therapy identifies that there are several benefits of the culinary process.  It’s a space for expression, creativity, connectivity, where you can learn to cook meals you love and  to connect back to what you love about cooking.

The benefits are plentiful, rich and delicious. There are also life skills and tools to be gained for a lifetime:

Individual Classes

I can tailor a session(s) to fit your needs, preferences and dietary requirements. I can help you to navigate the aisles of the grocery store or groceries can be delivered to your kitchen or larder, so we can cook. Together, we will prepare and cook a healthy, simple, delicious meal or individual dishes that you will be proud to eat or be happy to serve to family or friends.

What you’ll get:

  • Consultation to understand your needs and recipe consultation/ meal planning ideas

  • Groceries to fit your dietary needs and taste buds (help navigating the aisles of the market, or, groceries delivered to your kitchen, or, an alternative kitchen)

  • 60-90 minutes of one-on-one coached cooking time

  • Complete dish/meal ready-to-serve to the guests of your choice or for yourself

  • Recipe copies to keep and perfect!

Cooking classes can be bought as a gift.

Small Group Classes

Invite some friends over, open a bottle of wine or your favourite drink and learn to cook a delicious meal together! A great way to entertain for brunch or on a Saturday night. What a great way to spend a few hours with others.  Or get the family together, to learn how to make a simple meal together, spending time together on a Sunday afternoon and re-connect.

What you’ll get:

  • Recipe consultation/ meal planning ideas

  • Personal tailored grocery shopping list made for you, or, ingredients delivered to your kitchen, or, an alternative kitchen

  • 60-90 minutes of cooking

  • Participants will be assigned specific dishes and guided all the way through from the preparation stage to the serving stage

  • Complete meal ready for the participants to share and enjoy together

  • Recipe copies for everyone, and you may even need Tupperware!

Ritu's cooking class was fantastic, the evening had a very relaxed feel; almost like you're cooking with friends. As we prepped and cooked, Ritu explained the ingredients and how to cook them correctly and encouraged us to taste along the way (yum). The cookery lesson was such fun! The dishes were absolutely delicious, I think some of us had third helpings! 


I left happily full, with feelings of achievement, contentment and was proud of myself for having learnt new skills and recipes - and I very much looking forward to cooking the dishes myself!
